Hello all, I have a '90 7mge that i swapped into my '87 supra. It ran fine for an hour after i fixed vacuum leaks and set the timing. Then the car started to surge, and then load up and blow raw fuel out of the tail pipe. I checked all wiring, and tested the airflow meter, the resistance specs were slightly out of range in a few spots, but not too bad. Now the motor wont start at all, i have no spark, and no 5v reference to the tps, maf, or any other sensors on that circuit. Unplugging the sensors on the 5v ref. wire one by one and monitoring the voltage got us nowhere...I am stumped, wheres my 5v reference going???

I'm not saying it is but the ECU will not operate with the reference shorted. Does the MIL come on with the key? If so and there's still no Vc and you're sure it's not connected to anything the ECU is bad. I find that hard to believe though.
