How does that work?

Use a machinist straight edge and use feeler guages to measure the gap between the straight edge and the block. In a machine shop it tells us a rough estimate of how much we need to take off the deck.

Radiator was plugged up almost solid. New rad on the way. Thanks everyone.

Next time use an IR gun or just feel the rad for cold spots. Also check delta T between the upper and lower hoses. That way all this doesn't have to be such a mystery...

I felt around for cold spots, I found that almost 3/4 of the rad was ice cold. I just panicked due to not getting the block machined like I should have
