After spending all winter rebuilding engine, cleaning and replacing misc parts. spent spring break installing engine.Great oil pressure,no leaks and started right up... then a low rpm miss. #6 plug a little wet. and twenty year old plug wires. replaced wires. no luck. No code (a bad afm) thats another story. Misses less if I advance timing. seems to miss intermittently at higher RPM 1500 - 4000. Any suggestion?? I can't think of anything else to check.

Removed cps an it was clean, checked continuity and resealed wires. readings are within spec. Going to check igniter today. during winter I checked connectors and rewired and solder any stiff wires or broken ends.I have a afm that drops to 3 @ idle but the miss is at most rpm.I want to go to maftpro but don't want to try to figure that out until I get this fixed.and I don't want buy a new stock afm. I will us that $ towards Maft pro.

NGK BCPR6ES @ .031.After many searches I have found #1 bad ISC,#2 spark plug wires (new) bad, loose on plug. #3 coilpack#1/6 within spec but when i pull plug wires when running # 6 plug wire has no effect in miss. So i used another plug and old wire, runs better. Set ISC with a little opening so now it surges. also AFM sometimes reads reads 3Hz steady at low idle on Safc. How many post until I can post for sale. I'll search...
