is it possible to get 300 hp froma 7m-ge

Anything is possible but for 300hp out of a 7mge it's either na-t or more money than you could ever want to spend. If you want to stay NA check out AJ's car, but don't expect miracles without crazy amounts of cash and custom work. The 7mge is already pretty optimal as is.

If you are going to blow a head gasket with forced induction, you'll blow it with anything else that makes 300HP.

Aside from extremes, the only thing that I can think of is N2O. Even then, you'll need some heavy mods.

Higher compression pistons, port & polish head, bigger cams, headers, AIC... And it will be a lot harder to drive on the street than a 500HP turbo.

There's plenty of threads over that subject already.

Sent from my terrible HTC Rezound using Tapatalk. Don't buy HTC...

I can be done. But it is more work than a larger engine.
For what you would spend to make a 7mge a 300hp engine, an LS swap would get you 33% more power, a LOT more torque, and you wouldn't end up with a highly strung engine that is difficult to extract good manners from.

Check out Defiant7m's build thread if you want some ideas on how to make a high power GE. ;)

That is pretty much what I was thinking, but didn't want to offend people by telling them to use an all aluminum (weighs less) 5.7-6.2 V8 that has 350-430 hp.
