So I got 550's and a lexus AFM from b005t3d (thank you sir) and I just ordered a Walbro 255 about 10 minutes ago. Do I need an SAFC to run the car, or will it be ok without it for about 2 weeks (until I can afford one :()

When I installed my lexus afm, 255 fuel pump, and 550 injectors I took it to be tuned at a dyno shop. I just knew it was running pig rich, but at WOT it was perfect. I'm not telling you not to buy something to tune it with, but mine was fine. I did have an safcII, but I didn't need to adjust anything. Good luck

You really should have an AFC, unless you use your fuel pressure regulator to adjust the setup, and either wayyou need a wideband to do it right.

^^^ Yep!

You do not need a SAFC with the Lex/550 set-up. A wide band will tell you what's happening with the motor and you can tune to a limited degree with an AFPR. Once you get it stable, get a MAFT Pro for more tuning ability.
