2zjge-t with 7mgte ignition

i feel it does... i'm running the same thing. except i am running is300 coils. i kept blowing out the spark with the stock coilpacks. a lot of people who do run the 7mgte ignition system do run them though with no issues it seems. the only problem is the 90-92 ecu (like mine) has the crappy redline, then engine can rev a lot higher, but ofcourse its ecu limited at this time. other than that, it does do the job, but a standalone would do a better job.
thats what i was thinking about doing is aem standalone on the 7mgte harness and ill have to figure out a way to upgrade the ignition then
oh but i should also say that i have tuned the car pretty well for 10psi at the moment with just the vpc/safc2 combo. i've been using my friends 325awhp 350awtq (on a mustang dyno) evo mr for a benchmark. right now he only pulls me by about 1/2 a car length by 120. we weighed our cars and he was ~3300 and i was ~3420 without either of us in the car. i think that's pretty good for only 10psi of boost. i have ran 20psi, but that ended in failure.
which one lol ones fully built, ones still stock turbo with cams 380whp, other 2 are arp rod bolts with gt35rs running 500 whp cuz stock rods and pistons are only good to 550
im thinking about running the 7mgte harness with my map ecu and eventually switch it over to the 2jz harness and ecu

i'm having some luck with washer fluid injection and 2degrees more base timing. the car is running real well, and i've been able to get just about all the detonation out. my friends evo has injectors, fuel pump, hallman boost controller @24psi, 272 cams, dyno tune, exhaust, and tons of suspension. its a mr, so it has the 20g turbo. he can make more power, but for now, its fine. i havent ran him since i advanced my timing, i wont stop until i can beat him at 10psi. hahaha.
