I know there's been endless debates about this. Personally I hope that Autoweek is wrong.

meh... i'm just waiting to see how the new gt-r will turn out :3d_frown: potential is what i'm looking for... the getrag tranny + 2jz motor is going to be rediculously hard to top IMO

i personally think toyota will release a new supra. theres a lot of fun stuff going on in the auto world with the camaro vs. the challenger, the retro mustang and nissan bringing the GTR to america.

whether you like these new cars or not, you have to admit the rivalry is very entertaining and exciting!

when toyota was releasing the mkiv, they purposley waited for nissan to release the new 300zx. id like to ask anyone who remembers first hand, did toyota keep the mkiv completely under wraps before its release?

im almost positive toyota will have some type of gt car coming out soon after the release of the GTR.

We can still look forward to the 500 HP (neighborhood) Lexus. If you guys haven't heard, though, it's supposed to be powered by a V8 instead of a V10, which is supposedly derived from Toyota's Formula One project. I recently read that in a somewhat reputable auto magazine. I remember them saying while watching a track test of the car, it had a shrieking wail to it. Tasty!

Don't get me wrong. I think it would be great to have a 500 hp 5.0 V8.

...its not the same guys, it just wont have that mkIII and that mkIV feel...ya know? im personally not going to get one unless its a toyota and it says supra twin turbo on it...thats my opinion right or wrong.
