ok guys i know this is an old topic but has anybody found a cheaper 2-step setup for the 7ms? i have looked at a few of them but im not looking to spend 300+ to to be able to stage my car at the tree.

As far as Ive ever seen, your gonna have to spend around $300-350 on a reliable 2-step (rev controller). Working a foot break is free although not as consistent or fun to do. Your not gonna want to cheep out on a device that controls ignition and or fuel, especially under those conditions. Things can go from poppity-poppity-poppity to poppity bang real quick.
i made a home made 2 step, on my 4efte a while back, i used it out of a 5 inch tacho with those big ass lights, and works perfect, and can be set at any rpms that you like.
