its not an easy swap, but it is a lot of fun to drive. i almost forgot what of the line torque was like... also, the 1uz is the smallest, but strongest of the UZ series motors.

if you're staying N/A, a 1UZ is junk.

It makes the same HP and Torque as a 2JZGE.

Show me a 2JZGE (especially stock) that makes 250 to 260ft/lb tq, and makes 200ft/lb tq or better form about 1500RPM's all the way to redline, and weighs the same as a 1UZ and then you can call it junk....

The 1uz makes roughly the same HP and TQ as a stock 7M-GTE and weighs quite a bit less and far greater reliability.

not the early 1uz heads....... They are the worst. The 98 and later or the 3uz or the stock 2uz heads would be far better.

Tid-bit of info, the stock VVT-i and 2uz non-VVT-i heads outflow a well ported set of early 1uz heads.
