@ Supra28, Lol I know I'm not a fan of the red stripe either. And to think they molested the molding with red too. That will definitely going back pearl white or some other shade of white chrome fenders are off already too. For now its engine first though...

Machinist didn't cut the front plate when he cut the block. It was a .025" difference. Had to send the front plate out to get cut. A 1 week setback.

Got more stuff painted. Send the head to get rebuilt with BC springs, new shims, and a 3 angle valve job. Previous owner recommended I change the head, so I found a N/A head and swapped in all the turbo head internals. Just used the casting since its never been cut. The guy I brought it from told me to run the n/a cams with my turbo. That it was an upgrade. That the power band will kick in at lower RPM's. Turbo might spool up sooner. I thought about it but decided to run with the stock turbo cams. P/O said he replaced them before he BHG. Surprised they looked brand new even when I removed the valve covers..

More Progress pics. There's so many that I couldnt upload but glad these were able to come through. Just waiting on some parts to arrive. Head shielding intake manifold gasket and injector o-ring kit from Driftmotion. Also getting an EGR block off plate. Trying to clean up the bay a little. I have a new OEM oil pump shimmed 7 mm and oil filter mount relief spring shimmed 5 mm. Havent put oil pan on yet. Want to buy the AZ performance oil pump pipe. I want to increase oil flow.

Same happened to me.. I brang the block + front plate to another machinist because I wasn't happy with the finish for a MHG.
If not, I would have sand (with a sand block) the plate mounted on the block protected with masking tape.

I did my block the same color. Then painted my engine bay black. worked great
Man your engine is sweet. You definitely weren't shy with the upgrades. How did the upgraded ct26 57 trim work out for you? Im going that route for a while then eventually upgrade to a T4 turbo. My goal is to join the 500 HP club someday.

Looks good. I like the color choice.
Thanks supraguy. Do you know if the is300 COP coils will fit the 7m with the stock intake manifold setup? Kinda want to keep my 3000 pipe after I painted it.

I'm with Supraguy, engine paint color is spot on!

The COP mod works with the stock intake manifold, done it on mine. I believe you have to ditch the gasket over the spark plug galley that you painted up nicely to match the block, which I was going to compliment you on as well.

it worked good. 376whp 383wtq at roughly 14 psi and that was with more tuning still required. I don't believe you will get the 500 with the ct but like you in the future im going to upgrade the turbo in the future. I still have more to go this winter I hope.
