Not to be confused with engine configuration.
Some cam covers say different thinks. Mine has E5 on it, I think.

How can you tell how 'beat' the engine is by looking at one low quality/fuzzy picture?

because hoses are cut, not taken off. Openings are not taped off so little creatures dont make home, alot of rust and corrosion.
That motor would require a total rebuild if i were to ever put that in a car. Or for $1200 from JHOT you can get one that looks beautiful

You can't deduce all of that by looking at a single picture.
You think Jhot's motors come off the boat looking all nice and pretty?
The point is, don't be so quick to judge how good or bad the engine is from one picture. You haven't seen it in person. That engine could be washed it, comp tested and be ready to rock for all you know.
They take em out of their cars in their recycling plant in japan. AT least we know where it comes from
My motor looked like junk when it was in the video Jarco sent me of it running in Japan. Then when it came it looked nice because they cleaned it up after shipping. Anyways mine says E1 on it and would also like to know what this means.

I know that in the auction, it said it was a front sump. Don't know if that matters. You guys have the jza70 1jz?
Yes mine is from a JZA70 front clip. This is driving me crazy! I am about to research on it and try to find some answers.AFoneJZ said:

If you don't have one, then it just came off at some point. I think 1 out of my 3 1Js didn't have the sticker anymore as well.
