I posted this on a different forum but you guys might know too.

I was just curious to know the stroke/bore of a 1jz vs a 2jz
I found this
DESIGNATION TYPE SERIES CC. DISP. BORE STROKE HEAD
DOHC 1JZ-GTE 90- 2491* (280) @ 6200 269@4800 86.0 71.5 8.5:1

DOHC 2JZ-GE 95-96 2997 225 @ 6000 211@4800 86.0 86.0 10.0:1

DOHC 2JZ-GTE 97-98 2997* (280) @ 5600 335@3600 86.0 86.0 8.5:1

Product Stroker Kit Part # 1029M-T002
Bore 87.0mm Stroke 90.0mm Engine Disp. 3210cc Compression Ratio 8.5:1 *1

What would be the gains between them? What would be the better choice? 1jz internals in a 2jz block or 2jz internals on a 1jz? I am just wondering if any has done it.

i dont think anyone can get a 2j crank in a 1j cause of clearance issues and if you put a 1j crank in a 2j your still 2.5l not 3.0 and your compression would be so low i dont think it would even work unless you use longer connecting rods
with the short stroke and long rods would make for a high revving engine

If you want to stroke a 1jz out just get any bottom 2jz bottom end make a 1.5jz
If you plan to stroke out a 2JZ for a turbo engine you really should just fork the money up to build a solid bottom end and not cut any corners because if you stroke out a 2jz bottom end you get more power way more torque but way less revs so to handle the extra stress your better off doing it right.
