Hi, I am half way done with the 1jz swap into my 1990 supra. I have two question. If my question are already answered, please point me to the post. Thanks.

1. I have the 2jz water pump and everything. I just need to where on of the plug on the 2jz water pump plugs to. I think its one of the water hose plug located on the front piece of the water pump, just below with the pulley is. Do I have to block that plug up? The green arrow is pointing to the plug I am talking about.

2. Does anyone know or have a diagram or picture of the vacuum lines of the 1jz motor from the intake side? This is what I have so far. The box where the top right green arrow is pointing to, is that the map sensor? I don't know what connects there for the middle green arrow. And the bottom right arrow, where does it plug to?

Apologize for my ms paint arrow drawing...

I can provide a bit of help here on one of your questions.

#2. The box where the top right green arrow is pointing is to the map sensor. I don't know about the other arrows.

Great, thanks! I was talking to one of my cousin and he has a friend with a 1jz swap in his supra already so, I'll see if I could get help from him for the vacuum lines. But anyone is still welcome to contribute any information or pictures for reference.

I can help:
1. Top is MAP sensor correct!
2. Next down goes to your boost sensor for your dash gauge and with a t-connector splits to the map sensor on firewall
3. runs behind the engine somewhere and I cant see it right now because the engine is how
4. goes to your charcoal canister if you have one (i dont so its just blocked off)
hope this helps and if anyone else knows diferently please chime in as i am just looking at my car

As for the water pump, that port on the bottom is simply a weep port, Toyota had a drainage hose coming off of it going down to avoid it hitting anything (alternator), but it is not really required.

No need to plug it.

thanks, wow, the 4 one goes to the canister? it's all the way on the passenger side. If I don't want to run the canister, do I just block all the hose going to it? anyways, thanks for the information. I appreciate it.

Really? I thought the weep hole was suppose to be smaller than that. So, I could just leave it open right? or just hook one end of the hose to the weep tube and leave the other end open downward right?

OKay I got the water pump sorted out, thanks to Jeff. I look into my half 2jzgte water pump and it is the weep hole. No leak unless the water pump seal is out.

thanks to CanadianLurch for the vaccum lines. It looks like I learn where the other hoses goes now.

Still waiting for my PS hose from DM and a water pump pulley from a supramania member here. But as soon as the goods from DM arrive, I could drop in the motor. I can't wait to first start up my 1jz. At the same time, I am holding my breath it works, because I extend and rewire my 1jz harness myself. And of course could not done the wires without the 1jz supra bible.
