i have a tt-r supra with 1jz engine. When i buyed it she was stock and very fun to drive at all point.after i put a gt35r .63 a/r (made in china)from suprastore and the car loose all the good point he haved before;lot of lag,no response.....no pleasure

i want ultimate response but the stock ct12a can not handle more than 15psi

i dont know if i'll put stock ct12a at 15psi or garrett equivalent for increase boost to 20-25 psi .which garrett turbo's are equivalent?...gt2056 journal bearing???

thanks

You shouldn't be having lag issues with a gt35r. When mine is running well, I get 17psi by 3700rpm. I think with the stock cams, I'd get the boost sooner, but I don't have stock cams.

well since you said its a chinese turbo, is it even DBB?

if not, get the real 35R and youll never know what lag is

if i change with garrett gt3582r .63 ,
do the turbine will spin as quickly as ct12a's?
do i've to put short or long runner headers?

i think my setup doesn't boost before 4000rpm and full boost at 5500rpm,that sucks!!

do you have any recommendation to help me;i can put money but not
A LOTTT

just turbo ,boost control ,headers, intercooler, waste gate and blow-off would be fine . or electronic and gaz upgrade would be require

excuse my english ,i make my possible

ask jay(suprahero) about what the GT35R is like on the 1J as he definitely knows whats thats like

something is definitely wrong with the turbo you have, my ITS 72mm reaches full boost under 5,000, so something 35R sized hitting boost later than that just doesnt sound right

you will need basic electronics like wideband and fuel controller, you could run low boost on the stock fuel, but to run higher boost levels you'd need bigger injectors, adjustable fuel regulator, upgraded fuel pump, etc.

if i change my turbo for a single garrett, what is the best turbo size for engine response ,gt30r with t25 .64a/r hot side or gt35r with t3 .63a/r hot side

Turbine Housing A/R:
Select .78 A/R (Only available when selecting divided T3 housing)
divided_t3.jpg

T3 but devided & DBB this should spool at factory rpms
you wont get as much power as T4 1.06 or .82 but it sounds like your a spool freak & hate lag so it sounds like you want it all street not so much on the power hungry side:evil5:

I would also make sure your headers are T3 footprint devided.

I hate lag as well, I'll be doing a GT3076R (trying to decide between .82, or the divided T3 .78).
