Where do I start...I swapped a 1jz in my 1989 supra 6 years ago and I used it as a DD for 4 of those years. Last year I had two problems with the car a idling issue and a clutch issue. Long story short my 1jz had developed crankwalk. I pulled the engine and confirmed the crankwalk. I picked up a new 1jz up from Japanese Engine Import in Manassas, Virginia. I bought an auto 1jz because it's cheaper and I figure the thrust bearing would be in better shape being an auto. I'm going to swap all the 5 speed stuff over to the new 1jz. The pictures below show my progress so far. I super pumped to get my car back on the road, more pictures to come!!
