We have completed the swap / install from 7M turbo to 1JZ twin. ( 1/2 cut from Japan )
1/2 cut = 53,000 km - still has oil change sticker on it
Basically did not touch any internals
Did swap out injectors to 550
PROBLEM WE ARE CHASING / HAVING
> starts on first crack over quickly - no smoke - 700- 800 rpm
> idles until the engine is turned off
> falls flat on its face as soon as increase / step on gas
- work done / parts installed
> new tps ( found post saying that this may be problem ? ? )
> new fuel pump ( all new stainless fuel lines made - installed )
> new Aeromotive AFPR for 1JZ
> new 1JZ ignitor / coil pack
> ecu - new resistors
> new HKS twin power DLI
> new spark plug wires / plugs
> Apexi boost controller / fuel mgnt
> checked fuel lines for leaks / pressue - no leaks and holds pressure
> checked turbo lines - tubing - holds pressure ( did have small leak - fixed 0
> double checked wiring harness / connectors = seems all ok ( pain the
butt job to extend the harnesses )
ANY SUGGESTIONS OR COMMENTS ON WHAT TO CHECK - LOOK FOR - GREATLY APPRECIATED .
Been working on the build for 5 years > full restore > just want to get it running and to
the paint guy ..
