Whats up everbody , I know theres been talk about ported 1jz heads and im gonna go ahead with it regardless:icon_evil but i'd like to know:icon what kinda hp ratings can you expect from it? and how much does it cost?

It ought to cost right around $300.

I'm not even going to guess on performance gains.
I would only venture that they are probably not as substantial as you hope them to be.

Not bad, I would expect if you had oversized valves installed it would be more of an increase?

A good port and polish that will make power will cost more then 300. It's not about making holes bigger but also about flow beching the head before and after. picking the right cams with the right lift and duration to allow the head to breathe at its new flow rating.

So in order to benefit from porting and polishing you will need, Cams, over sized valves, and good springs with keepers, all of that mixed with the right machine shop will yield amazing results.

I guess we're speaking of gte cams?

Doesn't that change alot more than you have mentioned.

I have heard that if you switched to gte cams you basically had to
re-tune your entire car because the airflow and gas mixtures would be off.

I also hear that if going to gte cams it's better to have maft-pro.

Is any of this true???

cams as in higher duration cams, HKS 260's etc

for my car.
