1jz pistons in a 2jz?

Can i put 1jz pistons in a 2jz block? i hear yes, then i hear no.
i have searched for a while but nothing. can someone help me out? thanks.

If you are not sure on something please dont post. the stoke of the 2jz has nothing to do with this. the bore size is the same between both motors. there is no such thing as a 2.5 or 3.0 piston.

yes you can use 1j pistons in a 2j. Just like you can use 2j in a 1j. All you have to be sure of is you use the correct rings. Like if u use 1j pistons use 1j rings. I am not guessing I am sure on this it has been posted.

This has been covered before.
1JZ and 2JZs have the same bore, only the stroke is different (2JZ crank has a higher lift and the rods are longer). You can use 1JZ pistons in a 2JZ block. 1JZ pistons are lighter than 2JZ pistons because of the shorter skirt.
