You can get more silicone from the dealer by the ounce, open the fan clutch and squeeze the bottle in. I have 3 extra bottles in mine and my car still overheats when I use the a/c.

The 7M fan blades don't fit the 2J fan clutches. The fan mount diameter is over an inch larger on the 2J fan clutch so the hole is to large for the 7M fan to fit around, unless there is an aftermarket clutch with a smaller fan mount diameter for the 2j.

look at the first pic i posted. it's a 2jzgte fan clutch with 7mge fan blade. the clutch is aftermarket from advanced auto parts.

Yeah I looked it up. its an Imperial Fan Clutch - 6" Import/Compact Part No. 215071 and is apparently designed differently than a standard 2j clutch because the center heat sink area will support the smaller 7M fan.
How stiff is it when you manually spin it hard?

Rc car diff fluid also will work. Something around 3000cst will work. Higher the number thicker it is.

PIC of clearance between fan and rad please.

also what do you mean by heavier weight fluid for the clutch?

Hard to get a picture with the shroud on. But i have about 2 inches between the fan blade and the stock radiator core.

Bringing this one back... Local is parting out his 700+ 2jz mk3. Has koyo rad. I'm currently on stock rad w/ ls400 fan and 7mgte blade with fan shroud. Will the koyo rad work with my current setup? Not sure what koyo it is if there are different models. Thanks in advance guys.

I'm looking to ditch my E-fans also. I'm trying to figure out what I need to swap everything out. I already have a 2jz-ge fan clutch off an SC 300. What do i need other than fan clutch, complete water pump assembly.

What radiator and shroud are you running?

stock radiator and shroud.

2jzge fan and clutch will have to most room. I had ls400/7m combo before. clutch is spinning backwards and stays locked up at lower rpms when there good.

Have to trim the fan blades on the 2jzge fan but not a big deal.

If you want to run a 3-core without blowing the shroud to pieces, you need to trim 3/4" to 1" off the front off the blades too.

This is fact now that I have a BBK and new motor mounts lol.

So the koyo with ls400 fan clutch and ten blade gte fan blade will work if I don't put the shroud on. And if I want to put the shroud on I have to trim?

I don't even consider the LS400 setup to be a viable option since it's use on the JZ motors contradicts the engineering behind it. It will rotate the opposite way than intended on full lock forever, and that most likely has a negative outcome at some point other than being obnoxious.

2J clutch and GE fanblade is the way, and that's what I was referring to when I spoke of the trimming the back and front of the blades.

I guess I'm just used to my car sounding like a helicopter... Sounds just like my fan clutch when I had my 7m. No overheating issues at all. I don't really wanna change my entire setup for an upgraded radiator.. he does have efans with the koyo.. but I like my fan clutch.

Koyo also makes a stock OEM replacement you can see at DM, thats what I am using right now and I haven't had any overheating issues, also running 2j fan clutch with trimmed 2JZGE blade. I have gotten hold of the Advanced auto parts 2J clutch that can use the 7M fan but haven't put it on yet.
