1jz engine codes

Hey guys,

after dropping off my girl at her house in the morning, i saw this nice red bemer infront of me by like 4 cars in the hwy, so i catch up to him run 4th till 6k rpm and my check engine light came on.

do any of you know how to check the codes on a 1jz? and are the codes the same as a 7mgte? if not were could i go to see what the codes mean?

I am sure the codes are different, some may be the same, but there are more codes on the 1jz engines then the 7m's.. we'll see, I have no information on where to get these codes, but hopefully this can be answered. In this thread.
