Hey all,

I've been driving my (1990) 7MGE '86 4Runner around North America. The power gain from the 22RE is efficient. I've ran into a few problems that I'd like to know if they're related or not. .

The wires fell off of the connector for my Cold Start Injector. Now, when I first start the motor in the morning, it takes a few tries. I know that that will be a simple fix. I think. Are the connectors easy to rewire? If not, does anybody have a connector with any length of exposed wires?

Connector, BEFORE wires came off:

BUT, my main question has to deal with my Idle Air Control Valve (IACV). It has started clicking. . . whenever I depress the accelerator, it makes about three or four rapid clicks. If I'm driving at a constant speed, then accelerate again, it'll do the same thing. Is this tied to the cold start injector? Is it bad? When I did the swap, the original IACV was no longer useable. Very corroded. I replaced it (used, but cleaned it and installed new bearing) and moved on. . .

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Greg
