1989 harness in a 1992 ?? do i need these plugs?

i have a 1992 supra that i bought with no motor. so i bought a motor from a 1989 and hooked every plug i could up they all go in the ecu butt the big squar gray ones dont connect and neither does the white rectangle plug or little grey one////.... are those needed to run the car? i dont have spark right now but am getting everything else? please help ill post pics up

I did it the other way around I was trying to put an 1990 harness into my 1989 and I also had problems with those connectors ( they don't match up) and the ones that do match up, and on some the pins wont match up. Theres suppose to be like 24 different harnesses for the 1989+.

did the harness perhaps come from a cressida (without you knowing it)?

no i pulled the motor out of the 89 and went to put it in the 92 and now i got this mess and i already scrapped the rest of the 89
