1982 SUPRA.

Friend of myne called me to tell me he has a 1982 Supra he found for me. He thought it was the same year I had (I have an 89 and 90). He owns a car lot and when my father was looking for a supra he told this guy to keep an eye out. He must have gotten the years mixed up. So he got this 82 and called us.

So far what I know about the car is it runs has ice cold air, I think he said 115k miles? needs paint but the body is straight, interior is warn as expected. sounded like a good car. He is sending me pics and vin, I would like you guys to help me figure out what its worth?

115k is pretty low. Watch for rust on the rear 1/4s, bottom of the doors, and the hatch.

I'd say on a (really, really) good day you could sell it for $1000 needing paint, if thats all it actually needed. If you dont want to keep it, I wouldnt recommend it as a money maker. Just my $.0002.

It does have the uber tyte door handles though, +1 in my book.

Haha.. yea I dont "WANT" it. I figured if its a find I would let everyone know about it. Im not into the 82's much. Dont worry the next supra I buy will be a shell for my engine thats being built.. Oh. and I never got the pics today I will bug them tomorrow about them.

Um, what? I like how people think Florida cars are rust free. It is a peninsula surrounded by salt water on both sides. If the car has spent any considerable time on either coast, it may easily have rust.

I got my first Supra in South Florida in March, 2001 and have owned 2 other Florida cars, all had some rust.
