1 wire o2 sensor?

So I went to the parts store the other day to try to buy a new o2 sensor for my car and the one they had was 1 wire, but the stock one is 3 wire. What is the difference, and will the 1 wire effect performance?

They gave you the one for an N/A. Take it back and get the 3 wire.
Turbo model uses a heated O2 sensor, thus the extra wires.

Thats the thing tho...I told them it was the wrong one and that is what the computer showed for the part for a 92 turbo supra, at two different part stores.
