Hello supramania, I recently finished a 1JZ swap but the motor had knock upon start up. I plan on building a 1.5JZ running the stock ct12 twins/walbro 255/440cc injectors/stock ecu and maybe an SAFC. Car is currently on stock boost only upgrades are Y-pipe and catback. I have access to a low mile 2JZGE locally and since I have a running 1JZ already it seems like the best solution to me rather than ordering a new 1JZ long block. Im on a budget so I would be retaining the stock GE pistons.
My question is how many have tried this setup successfully? Would i be safe running a stock 2JZGTE head gasket? This car would be a daily driver here in 100*+ AZ summer heat. Any suggestions are welcome
