Im at sea level. Its a stock 2jzge out of a 96 lexus is300.I must have more leaks ill keep searching. The metal gaskets for the intake maybe the issue i didnt replace them cause they looked good.
I recently did a 2jzge na-t swap into my celica and im only getting -10lbs vaccum at idle is this normal?I could only find a couple boost leaks and they were small it was just some of the vaccum plugs i used.My 7mgte always had -20 under vaccum so i though the 2jz would have the same.
Heat is deffinetly not an issue up here in seattle.I do see where the clutch fan could be more reliable. In the last 8 years ive only had one electric fan fail and these were purchased used from the local pick and pull.Ive allways ran twin electric fans for additional cooling when racing auto...
The electric fan dosn't have too run at all when the car is at speed and ususally dosn't put holes in the radiator.Less rotating mass on the engine and yes i get the alternator may cause a little more drag.Anyone have any real proof of a clutch fan being more effecient than electric fans im...
Yes get some electric fans.Theres a guy near me witha mk2 supra with a 2jz swap maybe spent about $6000.00 on the swap and runs the clutch fan.I just dont get it.It looks retarded. And a high hp engine is bound to put a clutch fan thru the radiator.
I reused mine from another engine due too lack of funds and the mhg i got was too thick.I removedthe rivits cleaned it up and soaked all of it in copper gasket and it has held so far.But id rather have a new gasket in there.Using a used one is not a great idea.I also have a 2jz waiting too drop...
I can forsee the supra losing but not by that much just seem's phony.Maybe if the the supra was completely stock.I get the power too weight ratio thing i run a 3rd gen celica with a built 7mgte running 14lbs of boost killing car's that think they own the road.

Ive watched this video a couple times and somthing dosnt seem right.I just dont imagine any na honda beating a 400hp supra. It seems to me that if the supra was making 400hp you would at least hear the turbo or somthing.Sure the honda may get a jump on you but the...
bhg im sure.Fix it before you get water in the oil and destroy your main and rod bearings.ive had this issue twice in the last 6 months. There will be white goo on the oil cap, unusal amount of crankcase blow by and your coolant system will be over pressurized. My compression test were perfect both...
same here other than lexus afm and 560cc injectors from a evo.The na-t 2jz runs even higher compression.Maybe all the ethonal in the gas these days helps.
It will be fine.i run na pistons in my 7mgte and have the same amount of material removed from the head and block and a 1.0mm metal hg.Im running 14lbs of boost,No detonation issues and have been driving it that way over a year now.Plus it cuts down lag and improves low end power.
I cant wait for the next video.I am also doing a 2jz na-t swap but i dont plan to run more than 15lbs of boost with my gt35r turbo.Any more power in my celica i wont go any faster when gas is applied the tires would just smoke or my drivetrain may explode the w58 can only take so much.
Ive seen a few head gakets do the same thing on the 7mge.Get the block and head machined use a metal head gasket and arp studs and not have to worry about it.I did two head gaskets on my 7m na-t over this week. The original one blew on #6 because of the dowel pin in the block being the wrong size...
I do have a t4 turbo set up ive been waiting too install.A cxracing gt35 t4 and a really nice thick tubular manifold and external wastegate.I hope it spools quick like my ct26.I can get full boost at 2000rpm its nice cause im not a big fan of turbo lag.I am concerned about the little bit of...
white and a little bit of blue.I pulled the breather hose from the tb and vented it to atmosphere and the smoke is gone. But there is a little water showing up in the oil mostly on the head though not so much in the oil pan.Even got a little bit of coolant to blow out of the breather.Shouldnt be...
