City bus driver. I'd talk more about it, but then I'd have to erase every member that read this thread. I see you Old Radar from time to time on Broadway and you know where.
I can no longer see any of your pics. How did it turn out? Which oil pan did you end up going with? How was the clearance over the rack and pinion? How much clearancing did you have to do to the trans tunnel? Did the 4.8 tilt and couple of degrees up front when all said and done, or did it sit...
Set no.1 cylinder to TDC on the compression stroke. Make sure the crank pulley mark is at 0. Check to make sure your camshaft timing marks are where they're supposed to be. Please take pic and post. Just checking.
Not entirely sure if it was Precision Turbo, but I could have sworn they've already told the public why they don't have any compressor maps/info on their turbos. It was to keep the cost down on their turbos by not investing in all of that equipment and R&D that would result in passing the...
I'd wait the lead time for a turbo i really want. Even if that meant missing that SIV event. Don't compromise for a weekend event. When that weekend has come a gone you'll be wishing you went with the better turbo. Be patient.
When it comes to ordering parts passenger side is the "right" side. Order a right front fender and see what you get. Many parts are right/left specific. Passenger side = right side.
I am not familiar with how the Apexi Neo works with fuel correction. I'm sure I can learn about it. Have you tried turning in the AFM screw all the way in to see if there's any change? You're going to have to play with the AFM screw and fuel pressure with respect with Vf trim in closed loop to...
I'm on the far west side outside Loop 1604 as well. Shanfield and 1604 to be exact. Whats going on with the Supra? Running rough? I have some spare parts we can swap out to eliminate any possible problems.
black89t, do you need the afc to trim a little fuel in open loop while boosting? When you say it runs perfect are you referring to closed loop operation? Please make a thread about your crude tuning. You don't have to run it full tilt to 700rwhp do you? run can run less boost and tune it with...
I would contact a couple performance oriented machine shops and run that info by them and see what they recommend. You might want to run a little bigger gap than tsrm specs because you're going to be running a nearly twice the size turbo, three times the boost, and two and a half times the wheel...
Sounds like the 5831 would get the job done and spool a few hundred RPM sooner than the 6262. It's rated at 585hp.
The 6262 it rated at 705hp, but will spool a few hundred RPM slower than the 5831. What's a few hundred, 300... 1200rpm? I don't know. They do have a dbb option for the 6262, but...
Don't you feel accomplished that you did it yourself and saved hundreds of dollars by not taking it to the "professionals"? Every time I do a repair on any of my cars no matter how small I save money. I must have saved thousands of dollars throughout the years doing my own stuff.
Can you...
