OIL CATCH CAN install causing car to bog

I think you need to hook up a line back to the intake of the turbo, it needs a source of vacuum I think Not a hundred percent certain just a guess

    Wheel spacer question

And the size spacers you use, the thicker the spacer the less the old studs will stick out, I had 20 and 25 mm spacers before, they stuck out slightly maybe 5 mm to 10mm at most, you should be fine if there's slots in the back of the wheel

Mechanic used stock head bolts after rebuild, is that acceptable?

Quickest way would be take the valve covers off and torque, head studs are a different story when installing after assembly though ( simple way but tedious I think would be to take the cams off and then install), and I wouldn't know for stock bolts, maybe someone else will chime in

No I don't have any idea, are you sure that's the right shaft then?

    Steering shaft sizes

That's odd though, you shouldn't have to cut or weld at all if you bought the same or oe replacement rack

Mechanic used stock head bolts after rebuild, is that acceptable?

Yeah like rollus said using the head bolts that came on the motor isn't good because they've already stretched, you need to get new ones or have him torque it passed 58 because as everyone else in the forums stated, 58 ft lbs was not enough and maybe 76-81 was more sufficient to get the right seal

    Steering shaft sizes

Like I said did you undo the bolt on that top spline enough so you can slide it in and out easily?

    Steering shaft sizes

If you still have it check, I highly doubt is the shaft because it came out of the car correct? And also check orientation of the shaft. Btw just leave the shaft connected to the firewall but loose so you can slide it in/out then hook up to rack

    Steering shaft sizes

Then the only other possible thing is the rack could be wrong

    Steering shaft sizes

Ahhh ok, well sorry, I have no clue unless you put the rack in wrong but kinda impossible
