To anyone that knows.....I did a 2jz na-t swap in my mk3. Started with a good used 2jz-ge out of a wrecked sc300. All went well until it spun a rod bearing. Ive rebuilt and overhauled many motors in my day, no brainer right? Not quite I got a good crank and replaced the rod "that spun". Then...
check out clublexus 2jz na-t tt ecu mod. tons of info on na-t. I have a 86.5 I put a 2jz-ge in, love it. Also check out supras ni [modifications other engines] for info on your swap. Keep up good work, looks good.
buying a kit and making your own is probly your only option. But you fabbed the mounts etc. you should be able to pull it off, not as scary as it looks. Summit has kits that wont break the bank.
Hey I think its pretty cool. I chose a 2jz-ge na-t for my mk3, but what the hay you are gonna have a blast and that's what its all about in my book. Mk3s are cool I like the look better than mk4s, and with a v8 rumble? How is that not cool? Rock on bro.
I swapped a 2jz-ge from a 97 sc into my 86.5. finding wireing diograms for lexus is a lot more diffecult than supra. I removed my intake "doing a na-t also" I am hoping some one can show me pics of left side of motor telling me which sensors are which. With that info I can finish my wireing. Thanks
I found a good ecu pinout for aristo 2jzgte here wilbo666 [licensed for non commercial use only]- 2JZ-GTE JZS147 Aristo Engine Wiring HTTP://.wilbo666.pbworks.com/w/page/37134472/2JZ-GTE%20Aristo%20Engine%20Wiring#Introduction ....Hope this helps.
They both have the same bore but different stoke, same diameter hole but the 2j moves up and down further. Thus more displacement, it might run but not very well. If you need to get it running on the cheap to get to work it might work, but if you want to go fast use 2j pistons. The location of...
If you have no dash lights, no buzzer, no nothing its not the ecu as it doesn't have power to mess up yet. As someone else said check your fuseable link/links, also check connections at both ends of battery cables, if your batt is fully charged your alt is fine. Fuses/fuse box could be...
Have you solved your problem? The injectors in most port injected motors including 2jz's work by having a constant 12v to one side and the ecu grounds the other side to fire the injector. The coolant temp, o2, maf, provide info the ecu uses to determine how long the injector stays open. There is...
I have my check eng. light hooked up. But it sounds like you are talking about obd1 diag. This setup is out bof a 97 sc300, obd2, it won't flash codes like obd1. I wired in a port and it lights up the scanner but won't read. I even went so far as to get the vin from a 97sc300 to feed the snapon...
Yes i have driven it. It runs very strong way better than the 7m even tough its rich. All I have for mods is a cat delete and a cold air intake. I dont have the post cat o2 sensor.
I put a 2jzge from a lexus 97300sc into my 86.5 supra. I got it running but its way rich, like eye burning rich. I can't get the codes out to diagnose. I wired in an obd2 port, but it won't interface with mt snapon scaner. I'm at a loss, please help. Thanks in advance.
