240 for a newbie driver. You can kill yourself in anything so save ur money and take some lessons at a racing school. You're actually less likely to act stupid once you know what you are not capable of.
egr goes into the number 6... by design from the factory because the gases are mixed in to replace some combustion gases..
the theory is replacing the combustion gases lowers the temps and is not offset by the fact that heated gases are being injected. Yet i've seen more #6 bhg failures...
...i know PT was popular in days past over at SF..offered discount to SF members.. and was wondering why they didn't try over here..
i dont see or hear of them there or here...
which makes me wonder if there was a problem with them.. or do they just count on subi/mitsu/honda business or...
line that out for me? I thought recirc of 1300 degree air into the #6 cyl and compress into a fresh charge would raise the temps above what they would be if not recirc'ing 1300 degree air and putting only low temp fresh air in.
help me out.
Okay, the guy that left the locating pins out of the head and didn't realize it until he had the engine back together has inspired me to fess up a mistake or two and see if anyone else is as dumb as me sometimes.
Here's one i hate to admit to:
Once after working 16hrs and then diving into...
gotta learn sometime, at least he asked, and then tore it back down and did it right..those are hard lessons..
i think i'll start a stupid mistakes thread in the general section..
yeah the good news is they are only locating pins. The bad news is you most likely tightened down the head bolts on a misaligned head. But the better news is you choose to do it right or do it over.
don't wait till it craps out. Then it's too late... garbage in your intercooler, oil risks, ...when something is not in spec , replace it. You'll be glad you did.
we post this cuz misery loves company?
cuz i wanna know im not the only dumbass around?
cuz everytime i do something and "that's enough" i think "well , maybe one more mod" ?
I'm in for 7500 and probably have another 1000 i'll put into it. And then drive it a yr and sell it for half...
I've never had to add a drop of oil to any nissan engine i've ever owned...my current one is 18 yrs old and runnin' strong. Have owned many.
Yet i'm on my third and last isuzu engine, none of which lasted more than 60,000 miles without a major teardown. google 3.2 and 3.5 isuzu and you will...
pls read slower and maybe out loud this time?
forget it, i can head to a specialty shop and tell 'em leave the remote start off. No turbo timer but oh well, can handle by not drivin' hard before i shut it off.
how do i get unsubcribed to this thread?
what manual switch. Got rid of it.
on a 17yr old car i don't need another old relay to fail when i'm out some night.
but brand new electronics i'm okay with.
On that note, must i hook up remote start in order to have turbo timer?
i don't need remote start at all on this car.. i don't...
