Yeah guys I ended fixing an exhaust leak that I had right on the y pipe and magically all the smoke went away, go figure. Oh and I never had no oil leaks or nothing, was wondering if it was the amsoil that I was using. Thanks a lot though!
Lol I was just messing around. There's actually some guy that I just met a while ago. He sold me a used one for 40 bucks, looks absolutely brand new. Has a lot of tension, now to put it on. And trust dudes, I learned the hard way when I went through my swap, cost me a fortune. Next time I'll...
Yeah your right, but when I put my hand down on the belt and push it down it has no tension at all. I know I need a need knew one but I'm gonna see if o can go the cheaper route than DM. Oh and I was gonna tighten it by lifting up the tensioner and solder some spots so it'll stay on the desired...
Dude I have the same problem with the dieseling(motorbike sound), but I'm starting to think it's caused by the slack on my belt since then tensioner is broken??? I would like more insight into this as I'm puzzled like fuxx!
Damn thats how my 7m started dude. What color is the smoke? When it starts smoking like you say it does, put your hand right on top of the muffler. If it's moisty a sweet smell, coolant and oil will be greyish and will have a rough smell.
I went through that nightmare with my 7m, check your intercooler piping and see if theres any oil on there now, then cheek your y pipe. It's gonna be a muthafucken bitch on your 1j, though. From experience when it's your turbo going out you can tell when your boosting and let off the gas and...
I have no ac on and I'm running the 2j water pump. Like I'll be driving and then out of now where espcially when I'm boosting I hear this churning. At first I thought I was my turbos, but I'm now sure it's the belt. Like right after it slips I smell the burnt rubber. I found similar stories on...
Oh well then I'll stay on stock and not floor it. Maybe it's cuz of my 3in y pipe and DP??
Really? Hmm let
Me try and get some vacuum hose today and connect it and see of that'll help. Maybe excessive vacuum causes it to spool sooner and faster?
I did, there was no play at all. I did see some oil but not Enough to be worried about. Oh ok, I thought it was like the 7ms. So is there anyway to fix this? Without getting a new set?
