I want to upgrade my intercooler to a more flow efficient system and be more of a bolt on so i don't have to fab. to much. Any suggestions? How are the godspeed intercooler systems with the bend on the bottom?
I have a meghan racing downpipe and want to know what exhaust won't be really loud and will bolt right up to this downpipe with catylytic converter( i have emmissions). i want to stay 3 inch all the way back.
Well to end this thread on good new for those who have helped me, I GOT IT!!! It turns out my cps was in 180 degrees out of time, I had dirty connections between the ecu and harness so once i cleaned them and retimed it properly all i can say is VROOM PSHH!! I breathed life back inton the old...
Did you check your grounds that go to the intake plenum? You should re check all the wiring that you had moved. It sounds like a bad ground in my opinion.
What is everyones opinion on the stock composite head gasket and retorqueing the stock head bolts? I figured that toyota made the supras with the torque specs at 58 ft. lbs which is the lowest i've seen in my life for heads to be torqued at. Personally i've read forum after forum about torqueing...
Did you change the pilot bearing? What trans is it the w-58 or r-154? Make sure you use the correct clutch kit and change the pilot bearing because I think they are different sizes but i might be wrong. MIne was a little hairy going into the new pilot bearing and required jacking the transmission...
My #'s are faded on my diagnostics lid, which ones are which? Thank you for the coil packs configuration. I will jumper it tommorrow if i know which ones are which? Is there a inertia switch in the 1987 supra? My chiltons manual is good for nothing on any of the cps timing instructions and plug...
I'm thinking alot about it, because i really need the car to get a job. It has plagued me all afternoon. I sat down with test light checking power and grounds with no luck. In my eyes it acts like a plugged fuel filter or bad pump. tommorrow is another day and i plan on dropping the tank to...
What is the firing order on the coilpacks to double check mine? Yes i used turbo injectors and fuel rail but still using the stock 7mge fuel pump in the car. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge so i'm playing a guessing game without that tool. I don't have a scanner to pull the codes and see if...
It was a head gasket replacement on the 7mgte which had 82,000 on the bottom end, the original
7mge was seized in the crank bearings. I found a bad ground connection which i fixed and now have spark. It tried to start but only on 2 cylinders. Pulled the plugs and they are totally dry. checked...
I'm assuming this subject has been debated quite a few times but what are the pro's and cons to using 1986.5 -1988 7mge camshafts in a turbo motor? Will 7mge camshafts fit the camshaft journals or is machining required? How much horsepower is gained and does it change the rpm that it makes it...
I'm not 100% positive but a gut feeling tells me the pump isn't the issue due to the engine was locked up in the crank bearings whch had to happen while running. The fuel pump relay shouldn't run with the key off and out of the ignition. The cps i don't feel is the issue either becasue the...
I swapped a 1988 7mgte ina 1987 non turbo chassis used 7mgte harness and electronics. I have a no spark and the fuel pump does not run when i turn the key on but runs when cranking the car. My turbo uel pump relay is making a buzzing sound even when the keys are not in it. Is there a relay that...
Thanks for the info i figured it out today but now i ran into another problem with no spark and my fuel pump relay constantly runs. I don't know if the pinout is incorrect on the main connector or if my alarm system is causing the no spark and have a seperate problem with the fuel pump ...
I have a question regarding the the engine harness plug that goes to the automatic transmission. i'm using the w-58 manual transmission so need the pinout for the plugs. There are many forum listings regarding using the white and black wire for the neutral safety switch hotwiring. My question is...
