So are you saying that All stock US ecu,s are mapped for egr and not just the california models ( as stated earlier in this thread ) ?

Your better off getting rid of the egr as it does very little on the mk3 to prevent detonation, due to the fact that it only recirculates exhaust gas from the number 6 cylinder ......its a token gesture add on to keep the tree huggers happy .
With a properly designed and effective egr system...
Yep i agree with what your saying Adam , however my goal is 400rwhp which has been proven possible with that type of manifold and after having driving it for a few hundred miles i,m glad to say i,ve got no concerns with it.:icon_bigg

Brent/adam : your right theres no way to isolate the pulses afaik with this type of manifold .....it uses the same flow principles as the stock one , although imo there must be some benefit of having the runners so short ie : faster spool time...
After the usual stud carnage when removing the exhaust manifold i removed the remaining studs and had them all helicoiled .....figured the stainless bolts look tidier .

Power trip/ MCD , whoever made it did indeed ceramic coat it and went to great...

90 percent of all the 7m cam journals i,ve seen look like that ....you can clean it off yourself with a piece of grey scotchbrite in minutes .
Its nothing to worry about .
The main area of concern is the condition of the cam journals in the cylinder head/caps which will invariably have...
On that type of tie rod the rubber bush will become perished and split and its usually only necessary to replace the bushes .
On the ball and cup type you need to check for excessive free movement , in the same way as the lower ball joints .
