A friend of mine said I should "make my Supra look like the one from the Fast and the Furious". Not that I would anyway, but now I guess I have proof! Horrible!
I drive my MK3 in the snow every day and no problems this winter. Last year I hit a telephone pole because I didn't have snow tires on it, but this year I do and it makes a HUGE difference. Also put a 70 lb sand bag in the back. Sure I still slid a few times but I was probably going too fast...
Is it safe for me to switch to synthetic oil? My 7MGTE has almost 162K on it and hasn't had a rebuild as far as I know. I've heard stories that switching to synthetic oil on an engine with this many mileage will either be bad for it or not benefit it in any way. Is this true?
I am planning on cleaning my engine bay for the first time soon. By the looks of it, it hasn't been cleaned in years. As this is my first time cleaning it, are there any components I should avoid while doing it? Also, what cleaning products would you all recommend?
Oh and before you flame me...
My brakes squeak badly even though the pads were replaced only like a month or two ago. I did some research and found out that these cars use some special shims and unless they are on the car the brakes squeal. Can anyone give me some info about these shims or any other recommendations?

I have a Crankshaft I wouldn't mind selling. It's kind of rusted and corroded though. I'll post pictures around saturday when I go to the salvage yard where I keep my parts.
There is a video game tournament in Cincinatti, OH (About 4 and a half hours from where I live) and I'd like to go but driving my Supra up there is my only option. I'm kind of paranoid taking a car this old on such a long trip though. It also has quite a bit of miles (160K) Renting a car isn't...
It doesn't leak out of the overflow anymore now that the resevoir cap is turned around. Also I don't think there was a hole to begin with. All I'm wondering is if there are any hidden problems that I should look for...
Ok I think I figured out the problem. It appears that the coolant resevoir cap came off of another Toyota car like a Camry. On those cars, the overflow hose was on the right, and on my Supra the hose is on the left. So I just turned the cap around and now it doesn't leak anymore.
Could there...
