yeah I have heard about people cutting and welding bellhousings together to make it work. Mine is deffinately an adaptor though, its not cut and welded
ha ha Yeah I would love to pull out the bellhousing to check that out, but we have a big three day off road event coming up in two weeks, so I have to baby the clutch until then. I tried emailing Monster and never heard back from them, and they dont offer a phone number on their website...
Well it has to be an r151f because it has a 23 spline output to mate up to my 23 spline t-cases. The 23 spline cases are hard to find and are much stronger than a standard 21 spline case. The 23 spline cases came only in the 86 and 87 turbo toyota pickups. With that being said I am pretty...
Well I have looked at pictures of the w58 bell and it does not look like the one I have. I am pretty sure I have the adaptor bell from Monster Performance.
I finally got some pics, these are the best I could get. Because of other parts In the way, these are the only areas you can see.
First of all, If you were smart enough to read, the title states "What bellhousings will bolt to a 7mgte?" That has nothing to do with a toyota transfer case. I already know what gearbox I have, and I already know what transfer case I have, so none of that is relevent. All I wanted to know...
I believe it is a push type. I think I figured out what the bellhousing is, Its an adaptor from Monster Performance. Adapts 7mgte to r150f or r151f tranny. I emailed them to find out what clutch I will need. Here is a link...
I am not necessarily on the wrong forum. i want to know what all will bolt up to a 7mgte. People on this forum will know alot more about that than the idiots on yotatech. I have been a member of alot bigger and better toyota off road forum than yotatech for several years now. My 4runner is...

Hey guys I recently bought an 87 4runner with a 7mgte swapped into it. I have built it as a rock crawler and it currently has 40" tires on it. My clutch is showing some pretty good signs of wear so I am trying to figure out which clutch I need to buy. Here is my problem.... I cant identify...
hey guys i have an 87 4runner with a 7mgte swap. I'm trying to figure out what the fuel pressure should be for this engine. I looked in my Haynes manual (i hate haynes manuals) and it told me how to check fuel pressure but did not give me a spec as to what it should read. If you guys could...
well heres a little update. Its still not fixed!! i replaced the cps cap because my old one was cracked and falling apart. i cleaned a bit of dirt and gunk out of the cps while the cap was off. i then started it and it ran ok. i could actually rev it a bit without it immediatly falling on...
i am having the exact same symptoms on my 7mgte. i have tried three different afm's with no fix. i'm lost as to what to do next with mine. what do you mean by "that is what it said it should read"? To me that sounds like you have a code 11, which is a problem with the ecu.
how could the blow-off valve affect how it runs if he cant even get it to rev past 2k? his engine wont be building boost at 2k. my stock 7mgte ran fine with a non-recirculating BOV.
