Increase in fuel pressure from stock

Tissimo, thanks for the response. I completely understand that this is being hard on the components, but old 440s aren't good for much and I am hoping to see a new fuel system under my Christmas tree complete with 720cc injectors.

Increase in fuel pressure from stock

So the 440s on my Aristo 2J are not cutting it anymore and I am buying parts of a new fuel system over the winter so the spring can bring me a full new system with dual pumps and 720s. My question is how many people here have increased the base pressure of their fuel system to accomplish...

    12 second ET.S

I ran the W58 really hard with a 7M and a 60-1 CT at 14psi and it loved the boost.

    12 second ET.S

60 ft = 2.275 and the weight is stock 86.5 MKIII. Ya there is a bit of bogging. I cant believe that I can pick up 1/2 second on just a better launch and no bogging but then again I'm not a strip expert so I guess a good driver could put my car into the 12s

    12 second ET.S

I honestly don't know if a lot of people here are lying or I am just a terrible driver or I'm making A LOT less HP than I think I'm making. I am running a 86.5 supra with the sports package (so lsd) with 5yr old Michelin Pilots 225/45s. The engine is an Aristo 2JZ-GTE with an equal length...

    1/4 track time need help

From what I can see your 60ft is just evidence of poor tires. I took my car to the track and was running 2.2, 2.3sec 60 fts all night long. I also think that some people on the board talk up their 1/4 times because my dad in a fully loaded 88turbo at 12psi on a stock CT was only running mid...

First time off the streets onto the track

I would really appreciate some help in figuring out where my problems are and why I am doing so poorly. - I will be purchasing new tires (I know I need them). I have kept the stock size tires to make sure my wheel size is not too big which can lead to excessive -ve camber. - I have tried to...

First time off the streets onto the track

Thanks for the encouragement I was really disappointed with the times. I had a lot of fun and know I need better rubber. I am running 5yr old Michelin Pilot Sports on stock sawblades 225s. I also have H&R lowering spring and Canadian tire shocks. I have been so busy making the car go that I...

First time off the streets onto the track

So I usually like going to the back roads in the country around my place and just doing some pulls, but recently I haven't been able to keep the back end tied down for the first 2 gears so it's not fun anymore. I figured there comes a time when you need the track, the safety, and some better...

    Overheating on the Highway...

Another good thing to check is your coolant mixture. I found that when I did hiway speeds or hard pulls the temps would go up to 3/4 on the gauge and then come down to normal. I drained the 50/50mix and put in water and water wetter and ran the car 19 times down the track with no heating issues.

AEM F/IC Ignition maps. Help please.

Guys, I am installing the AEM F/IC this weekend and I am looking to figure out what the timing is of the stock 2J. It is obvious that tuning in boost is easy as I will pull .75 - 1 degree of timing per psi, but tuning ignition in vacuum is hard to figure out so that you get the fastest...

    Driftmotion Turbo upgrade kits

I bought 90% of my 2J swap parts from driftmotion and they were nothing short of amazing to deal with. If you are thinking of looking else where I would say don't.

    H&R Springs ... what else?

I have H&R springs with Tokico blues and the car runs very nicely. Its rough but very responsive and sits very nice. This combination is definitely a more performance based combo.

    AEM fic and Tru Boost

I bought an F/IC and am going to be installing and tuning before the end of the month. The duty cycle of your injectors is a digital function of how long the injectors are on divided by 100% or the complete time the injectors could be open for. For example if you have 340cc injectors and...

    The Complete Piggyback Comparison

What are the chances that you can incorporate the AEM F/IC. I picked one up and from what I can see it is a very good device; very close to the EMS. I like how the way it manages fuel is by intercepting the duty cycle to the individual injectors rather than changing the map signal. When...

    2JZGTE MKIII Swap Info

Spark, fuel, air... If the car is a JDM then leave the intake open and there should be no problem with air. Pull a plug and coil pack and see if your getting any spark if not there is an issue with your ignition. Ignition is quite easy the inputs for ignition are the 2 cam position sensors and...

first major modification, Sc300 build thread!

Nice setup clean SC! I see the old color was burgundy how costly was it to do a color change? Also any plans on going big single or you just planning on pushing the stock twins a bit?
