If you plan to go single in the future even if you replace the twins with another set. I say dont waste the time and energy on getting another set of twins or rebuilding these. Take the time now and go single. Remember, even if you go with the DM turbo setup, there is still management and fuel...
I will be getting myself a set of drag wheels. FD wheels for the rear and FD spares for the front with a set of skinnies. Now if I were to run a 28 X 11.50-16 that wouldn't be too wide of a tire for a car making 500 wheel? From what I understand, maximum acceleration is obtained with 10-20% tire...
The master cylinder came with my SPEC super twin. It has an adaptor plate to make the factory holes work.

I am now seeing that unless you want to contact SPEC and attempt to get this master cylinder from them, you will need to make it work...

I use this on my car currently. It seems to be working great.
I have read through that post and there isnt any information about how to choose a tire width or spring rate. I know these are trial and error type things but it would be good to get an idea of where to start.
hey. I am sorry but I don't know who you are. I am still running the 6266 on the ol'...
I have done some searching and havent come up with a whole lot of information. I want to run my mk3 at the track and be competitive but still be able to drive my car on the street. The car is making in the neighborhood of 500 wheel. Running a R154 to a 4.30 rear gear. Suspension is all stock...

The quality of coilover can play an affect on this as well. Also, almost every coilover you buy in the aftermarket will come with a stiffer then factory coil spring. This is what can give you a more "rough" ride. Depending on type of coilover you have purchased you can sometimes contact the...
They look awesome and shipping was alot less then I was thinking it would be. I ended up find a used trans for sale and decided to pick that up instead of rebuilding mine. So now I have two transmission so maybe this summer I'll send one of the transmission down to be built up.
You will have to...
I dont know if that would cause the pressure plate to do what its doing. Although not a bad thing to look into. A proper harmonic balancer crank pulley will remove engine damaging harmonics.
I bought an ACT clutch for the supra. It was sprung 6-puck disc with stock flywheel and ACT HD pressure plate. It was awful. engagement was rough and it chattered and the pedal weight was awful. I personally dont have any other experience with those clutches you listed. As of right now I have a...
how has this clutch been for you so far?
I have the same one and have put roughly 4000Km on it and had no issues so far. The engagement is fairly quick but with a manageable pedal weight I dont find it bad. I also daily drive this car.
I did this with my ACT 6-puck on stock flywheel. I couldn't get it unstuck either and ended up pulling the transmission and replacing the whole clutch. Went to a twin disc setup to avoid this happening again.
Prying the disc off will result in damage to the disc. I wouldn't recommend doing...
If the harness is a "fu*****" mess I highly recommend that you go through all of the harness and ensure that everything is done properly. You could go off on a wild goose chase looking for a problem and never find it. Start from the beginning and make sure you have a good harness.
