This time for a good purpose though.
Thanks to rick (kotu something) for supplying the block and ideas. I plan on putting the turbo on the setup but need a headbolt to hold the head onto the block as it is too heavy with the turbo and tips.
Gotta pickup a piece of glass and enjoy...
Riding with others I guess can be a good thing... I just didn't know any responsible riders to ride with, all my friends with crotch rockets tend to drive on the wild side.
I guess the best way to put this, is after a few beers and a few hours I am sober and will drive a car, but If I'm having a few beers and I've taken the bike I do not plan on being sober until the morning, and will not have anything to drink unless I have already made plans for the night that do...
I just started riding at the beginning of 2011.
My first piece of advice is to not buy a street bike, but start off with a dirt bike, and do all your learning and crashing with that.
My next piece of advice is not to ride with anybody when you first buy your bike, I'm friends with a lot of...
I disputed a case for 113 dollars, and paypal agreed with me and gave me the money back (I keep a balance of 0.00 in my account)
3 months later I get calls from a collection agency because my account is -113 dollars, I call paypal and after hours on the phone they realize the money never went...
Stock boost gauge is electric, is the aftermarket one at all electric?
Any engine codes?
Tuning with?
Could it be a boost leak? Car will run fine if you are using a map sensor instead of maf, but when spooling up it will just dump it out. Does not apply if you're tuning with a maf, or are stock.
I went with AEM UEGO as it was nice and compact with the built in gauge that it in where my cigarette lighter used to be. Most widebands will also hook into standalones or piggybacks, but not all, so make sure this support is there so in the future you have the option.
I had one for mine, It has more features than I would ever need, but I wasn't forced to set them up, I was able to easily setup the basic features and nothing else. I bought it as I was planning on eventually using the advanced features but never go there.
So to use it as a simple boost...
Other guy was identified , don't know his name of the top of my head... (hart something)
Dunn was driving
Google the pictures of what was left of his car... there was a chunk of metal, thats it.
It was 1020 for the first 6 months I had my license and went down to 790 every six months without the ticket... So we do get hit hard,
Ticket was in my opinion bullshit as the cop that pulled me over put down +100, and "clocked" his reasoning being he "had to go 100 to catch up to you"
Don't...
He is dead....
Reports are all contradicting themselves, but I've seen some where people in the bar he was at claimed he had 5 drinks spread out over 3 hours, so drinking may not have been as big an issue as people are reporting.
What is an issue is the speed, some reports said 110, more...
19yo driver = shitty premium
Massachusetts = shittier premium
1 speeding ticket doing +35mph in a 65 = icing on the cake (lawyer could not get ticket reduced to anything but speeding, got a few other parts of ticket dropped though (illegal lane change etc.)
$940 every 6 months with minimum...
Some people are arguing that if cold air instead of exhaust was used to spin a turbocharger it would be beneficial as the cold air is more dense.
Others argue that the energy of hot air is better for spinning a compressor wheel, and give examples such as turbos mounted on top of engines...
white smoke usually indicates coolant, black = rich, or oil, bluish = oil... what does it smell like? Sweet?
Hate to say it but coolant and oil in cylinders may equal head gasket.
See if oil is in the intake (throttle body, anything after turbo)
Coolant in oil (check oil cap for "milkshake")...
the hose going to the bov is the vacuum source after the throttle, I use the one directly on the back of the intake manifold, but I'm not sure how the MK2 is setup
