Why don't i see anyone building up the 1JZ or 2JZ with a Toyota auto? Every time i see a fast MIII/MKIV, it is running a TH350/TH400 or a glide. Is there some inherent defect in the Toyota trannys that prevent them from being built?
I have the car running, checked all fuses, light on dash work, speedo works, but fuel, oil and water don't. I am gonna check the wiring from the engine to the dash and see if they are cut/disconnected. can anyone tell me where the oil sender and water sensor are on a 1JZ?
Ok, car is an original 92 Turbo swapped to a 1JZ. The lights on the instrument work, Speedo works, but the Fuel, oil, water and RPM don't work. Any suggestions?
From what i have read you have to machine 2JZGTE cams into a 1JZGTE head but there is machine work that needs to be done. Could someone tell me what EXACTLY needs to be done to see if it is worth while? Thanks
