How old is the turbo?
How much oil does the engine consume every month?
It's not always the turbo chargers fault that oil gets by the seals... A plugged positive crankcase ventilation system causes high crank case pressures, which might force oil past the seals. You can check this by...
I forget what the diff's gear ratio is on the MKIV but it's in the low 3.XX or something. You have to view the added gear as taking another piece of the transmission pie. The pie is only so big. If you want to create an extra slice (a 6th gear) the other slices are going to be smaller, thus...
Have you visited the Lextreme V8 Forum? There's some good information there.

I wouldn't recomend a 1UZFE swap for anyone that doesn't have access to full wiring diagrams and a few years of automotive repair experience. This is the kind of thing...
The place I go to in Redmond Washington doesn't even pop the hood on the car. As long as you pass the 5 gas emission test your free to go. Basically, they test your gas cap to make sure no gas fumes are getting by it (evaporative emissions, unburned fuel basically) and then they stick the...
Thanks for the compliment on the TT wheels  Tracey's a whole different car with them on. We left around 9:00 I think. Instead of going to the XXX rootbeer with some of the others I took Elizabeth home and we watched a movie and SNL together. I think she enjoyed that more than being out in...
For those of you who do not frequent the Supraforums.com board I thought I would let you know there's a meet tonight at the Issaquah Krispy Kream around 7:00PM
Visit the Northwest Region on Supraforums.com to find the thread over there. I would link you guys but I can't get into that site from...
Hey, I got your PM and I'll go take a look for you. I'm in kirkland and I've got a great digital camera to send you some high res pictures with. I'll even check all the comon rust spots like the hatch, gas door, fenders quarter panels, rocker panels etc. Shouldn't take me more than half an hour...
I think external wastegates are cool and all but I don't want to deal with finding the right one and geting the correct flange for it and welding and so on. The CT26 has an internal wastegate, and my upgraded turbo will too.

Damn, looks good! Those are some expensive turbos too. I got quoted something like $1,200 for a 59 trim.
So will that turbo work with the same downpipe a CT26 would use? I know it bolts to our stock manifold but what about the stock elbow / downpipe ?

What he said :)
I'd rather have super light full blown race car Mk3 with an aluminum twin turbo V8 in it though... not a four banger. And yes I know the weight of the TT V8 would make it a couple hundred pounds heavier than your 3SGTE but damn I'd waste you down the straight :)
Leave the...
Any good machine shop in your area that has been in business for the last 5 years or so has probably seen a few 7M heads already. And if not they probably wont mess it up.
I just got a 12 valve 5MGE head back from a place called Acurate Engines in Kirkland Washington and DAMN they did a...
That's from the MK2 Supra forums... remember reading over that a long time ago... not sure if he ever got that thing running. He was building it up for drag racing :)

I have them on my car. The quality is not the greatest. I had to trim the sides a bit with a dremel tool to make them fit. also, one of the "projector lenses" was glued in crooked and I had to take it apart and re-do it. Everything looks fine now and it's definatly possible to do an HID...
Well, The Jim King V2 Short Shifter doesn't do a lot for the height. I think it could be an inch shorter than stock. The big difference is the shorter throws. It "feels" like you are more connected to the car. It takes a little more effort to move the shifter. It's the perfect balance of shorter...
