Sounds like the valves. It would sound really bad when you let off the gas if it had a low end knock even tho it may be early stages. Change the oil as soon as possible and check to see if you have any metal shavings in the oil. I hear that exhaust leak which could mean you have a bad valve.

Low boost at a stock setting is fine. Depends on your motor and turbo setup. Wouldnt beat on it to hard till you put some miles on it though.
