Is there anyway to bump the rev limiter up or even disable it on a stock ECU w/maft? Maybe I can get a different ignition system to do this? I wanna be able to rev to 8 or at least higher 7 to spool the T66 harder because I noticed if I shift early into third from second I get slight lag but if...
220 bucks... ROFL... I have a turbo pushing high HP and a T66 I have one 16 inch electric fan with a NA radiator. The fans are about 30-40 bucks the control unit is $15 and the relay for the unit is $5. You can run a 15 or 16 inch but 16 is oversized and it hangs over a tad. You set the temp to...
I had to order a new pump for my NA-T they are suppose to be the same for turbo and N/A personally im not sure because I know the turbo has extra oil squirters and a turbo to run but they claim they are the same. You can shim it like I did to get more pressure but be carefull not to overshim it...
wow, all I did was get out the sawzall and welder and she shifts like a Pro 5.0 now =) I bough some threaded rod to the original shifter size and welded it up custom height to the base
"GTE oil pump" ? the oil pumps for turbo and NA are the same
PS: Yea rod knock sucks, mine died of RK too, I had a turbo car so I bought a JDM NA motor and converted it to turbo cuz it cheaper and more powerfull, then I threw a T66 on it and blew the hell out of the fucker, shes still...
lol, has anyone experimented on the 7M turbo? How does Nitrous requirements/setups change if a motor is turbo? Would the boost pressure make it more dangerous on the motor to run it? Would it be more stressful then putting it on a NA? How bout using it to spool the turbo? Has anyone ever...
I imagine you could eliminate 3 MAF wires, 1 ECU and 1 HAC wire by doing that but the wires still have to plug into the GM sensor from the MAFT box so your still gonna have that sensor harness in the engine bay
Whats the deal with like WRX's and Eclipse's running 810cc and bigger injectors when we only run 550's? I think stock the STI is like around 600cc how does this work we have much larger cylendars and turbos?
I am working on a heatshield or extension for the intake but I got it from ssautochrome, they have stuff EXTREAMLY cheap and they are a VERY good company, I also got my water intercooler for $100 bucks new (supports up to 1000 HP) , after getting on it for a while the inlet side is warm and the...
No Rakkasan, there is ONE wire to the computer, one sketch is for pre 89 and one is for after. If your hooking up multiple wires to the computer from your MAFT then you might wanna go back and do some serious reading.
Tom, umm.. maybe I hooked mine up wrong but if I recall there is just ONE wire to hook it up to the computer and the computer is very easy to take out and put a clip connector on the correct wire.
oh btw this is the beast we are speaking of, 4 inch inlet, 3.5 exhaust outlet T66/T4 Hybrid, even thought the exhaust housing is a T4 its still .84 wheel and it will fit on the aftermarket T4 manifold (BARELY) and the intake housing is a T66. I picked this bad boy up for around $370...
yea but why would running more PSI on the stock turbo make it put out more power if the PSI is not the determining factor, airflow and pump size is? Thats my question like, I know the basics...
What is better, doin a NA-T with the NA intake manifold and TB or using the turbo intake manifold and TB, because they are quite different, what makes better power on a NA-T conversion? I imagine the intake manifold on the turbos are different for a reason?
