Iridiums sucks major ass....it took one set to ruin my dyno once..never bought a set again....it cracked on mine..
But the turbo in that video is hella nice....it does not want to stop spooling.. lol:bigthumb: :bigthumb:
I think the ones you can make urself won't last in those exhaust areas...most of them are cork or cardboard material.
IF you go to a mufflershop that does like larger trucks and vehicles, they can hook you up.
Also look up ATP, they maybe able to supply u with them.
Actually, it does sound simple..but the same thing happened to me. The freaking rear end bolts ( driveshaft to Diff.)were loose....very loose..and I found out after i spent money aligning the car and balancing the wheel..etc.
Carrrier bearing can cuase that as well.
I had the greddy ones and this time I was enquiring about the AVCR and heard mixed reviews, specially about the setup.
I went ahead and bought the AVCR , and I think It was one of the best decision concerning boost controllers.
Its simple to hookup and seting up a breeze, not as hard as...
They dont have 'em. I picked up a set from Jarco for the twinturbo 2.5R badging for $80 ( Left/right) in excellent condition.I like them without the side markers. It looks so much cleaner.
YOu can see it in the picture:
As far as running the wire to get a tach signal, well that wire is for that signal specifically, so i don't see any reason you can't .
Jst tap it and work the tach , it may just work...
I would rather trace that wire ..and look at the corresponding plug/colour wire going to the harness and...
We were talking over the past weekend with some of my MkIII buddies who are planning to go to the SILV06, including myself for the first time.
Some have attended before already.
Well they all brought up the idea of having a track / dyno challenge , but one for the stock cars, and the other for...
If you look at the actual igniter, near the plug , there is a small cover.
Open the small cobver, and there is a green wire kinda looped.
THAT is your tach signal.
Correct me if I am wrong guys.
I think he is right due to tha fact the tach circuitry may be different.
Different size resistors on the circuit board on the cluster itself...
Makes sense.
Here is a simple diagram: Single setup can be used for the 7m turnbo setup.
I have the PDF for instructions, so let me know upir email so I can forward it to you.
Okay here goes:
If you look on the boost controller solenoid :
"COM" port will connect to the waste gate nipple
"NO" port will connect to the charge side/turbo side nipple.
"NC port should be vented to air.
Note:
If you are using a aftermarket waste gate, then the NC port will connect to the...
What do you need to know about the hookup????
I have recently installed it..fairly simple install..and setup...
I seee you are in vacaville???? Is this going in a 1 jz or a 7m powered car??
Its a really easy fix, jst pull the burnt out resistor and solder a new one in.
You can actually see the resistor kinda burnt up.
Here ya go :
