Can't say I've seen anything other than Motec dashes swapped into our cars. I'd love an Altezza dash for the Mk2, it would be more suited to the Mk2 than the Mk3... I think it would look out of place in a Mk3. However, the s2000 dash on the other hand... that could work, depending on size.
I think it's fair to say IJ *made* some of the corners, no? :)
From what I remember you saying in another thread about budgeting, that is basically a small fortune in your area, correct? That's some dedication!
I'm not so sure I can agree with you entirely on that. My brother is only 23, and...
^Very much this. Patience is a REQUIREMENT when it comes to a Supra. If you can find someone on here who's owned a Supra that has never even ONCE broken down on them, I'd be surprised. Even the well taken care of ones can have a spot of bad fortune. ;)
If you're wanting a cheap drift car, might I suggest a 4th gen Camaro/Firebird v8/6speed? Trust me, those things are WAY easy to get sideways and keep it that way. Even a relative newb like myself did just fine in my 01 SS. There's a reason that people put LS1's in everything these days. ;)...
None that I'm aware of, have been using the car as a DD for two years now, and the only problem I've had is a coolant hose that I didn't replace when we put the motor together burst while driving one day, and a leaky power steering pump. Other than that, all has been as it should for the most...
Mine fits perfectly right in the stock location, even bolts in just fine too. My little secret? Take the brackets from the 7m ecu that came with your car, swap them over to the 1j ecu. ;)
Also, that heater valve on the firewall has a habit of sticking, or at least mine did on the 88 I had. Try pumping it by hand to make sure the the little metal bar on the bottom of it (should be easy to see what actually is supposed to move there) can move. Push it up a few times, see if that...
If your hazard light switch isn't plugged in, I believe that a LOT of lights are tied into that and won't work. Check fuses while you're at it, could be something simple. ;)
Well what are you waiting for sir? ;)
I'd even suggest a 4x4, try to spread some of that impact out. Nobody likes a dented oil pan. What about a razor knife, anyone try that method?
Went back out to Red Rock park huh? Man, I'm honestly hoping that they do a different place for the next SILV, all three years I went out there, only went to that place. Beautiful, but would be nice for some variety. :p
W58 in the 300 if you're lucky... not like they're a rare transmission, but still. Plus, either of those motors are a nice drop-in with a bit of work. ;)
It's just a poor choice for one... you can get C6 Vettes for the same price these days.
By the time I finish mine, it might as well be a midlife crisis car. :p
Wish we had people around here that gave half a shit about their cars enough to do things like this. As it is, if I were to enter a local car show, I would have the ONLY non-British import. :nono:
What was the orange laser-shooting thing? Looks like an old Nissan Sunny to me...
