maybe egr getting clogged up. last time i pulled the cooler cap off my 88 the carbon was caked on. less air moving would account for the richer a/f.

on the momo adapter it has the ground wire which you can use, but the stock one uses kinda like a circuit board the can turn with out needing wires. all the switch does is ground the circuit going to the horn itself.

borhor you dont happen to have any pics do you? i have a momo wheel and i just used a long wire and the insulation kinda wore off so when i turn sometimes the horn goes off im about ready to just to forget the horn all together.
ya if you remove it you will need the non abs brake lines and remove the abs computer next to the engine ecu. brakes will work fine but they will lock up if braking to hard.
imo i would keep it since you have it.
you could always make a cover for it to hide it.
