The stock IC takes like 5 minutes to remove..not a big deal, really. That is pretty much the only significant thing stopping you from reaching it from the bottom.

I'm not sure if you can just put a turbo tach in the na gauge cluster without having to change the resistors on it. Taking off the needles can leave room for error in not putting them back on correctly, so you could screw up where the needle sits. That is a big headache, that is why I...

If you are still using your NA gauge cluster, that is why your tach isn't working. You'll need to get a turbo gauge cluster or rewire the tach (I think those instructions are on dr jonez's website).

Your car already has the hole for the clutch master cylinder, just remove the piece covering it. I'v done 2 manual swaps and did not have to cut the shifter hole area, although I'v seen people do it for some reason.
