It doesnt seem like the metals any thinner there then at any other point on the car (excluding the chasis of coures). Also considering its a side to side motion doesnt that give it alot of area to disperse the flex or w/e.
"This tower bar is a bolt on application and works with unmodified factory equipment."
Im pretty sure there are already the holes for it in the firewall.
The speedo cable starts at the back of the transmission and then runs up behind the engine and ito the firewall. Im sure its a cable type. The cable is also divided up into two sections.
Is this thing any good. I like how it sits out of the way compared to the cusco's and such. Im just a little concerned bout the arc in it and whether it will flex up front near the struts since the reinforcement bar is so far back.
Heres a link to what Im talking about...
One more question, It sounds pretty corrosive if it can eat off paint. Do you think it would eat through any of the gaskets or rubber lines If I ran it in my car for a week or two.
Im lost. Your saying your exhaust is hitting the engine block enough for your KS to read it as a knock and retard timing?
If thats the case just get some scrap metal and make a few brackets to keep your exhaust from moving.
I heard that a good way to save money on injectors for the Lexus AFM upgrade was to get injectors from a solara. Supposedly there 550 cc.
I dont see why the NA solara would need 550 cc injectors though.
If the ECU is not receiving a signal from the knock sensor the ECU will automatically retard the timing and run in a sort of safe mode from what I remember.
