Go to Toyota and grab an NA Filter Stud (about $20 I think) ditch the horrible GTE bracket totally and your new adaptor will screw directly onto the block!

Compressor outlet temps will always be much higher than Ambient temp so an IC is always going to make a difference in charge density/power output.
