AJ: This is exactly why I add 2 thou when I build as whenever I've measured after breakin and a retorque it's closed up 2>3 thou. (you knew there had to be a reason I did it didn't you ;) )
Saw the test on Top gear that thing is blindingly fast!
I sometimes get the idea that Mk3 owners think they can get this sort of performance by stripping out everything that makes a Supra a Supra.....
No matter how much you remove it'll still be a big fat barge! ;)
On a fresh valve job I allow an extra 2 thou on the clearances for the parts to settle in to each other, I figure it's better to allow this than have the valves close up by 2 thou and risk hanging one open and burning it down the track.
