I was just thinking that I wouldnt take it off because I diddnt wanna remove all my other belts. But I never thought of the zip tie manuver! Ill probably head that route. The way to take it off is via tilting the pump by unscrewing two bolts that hold it on there is what I gather...

So no detrimental effects to the rack would occur... I mean I could use a enw rack im sure. But I dont want to end up paying for that as well.
